No comment - No lotting

I was always under the impression that this was done always.

For awhile people where reminded in LS to check their party members but over time it seemed to of been forgotten.

The hour glass trick would be neat say if someone had to go afk for whatever reason they should bazaar it. If time is running out and they are still afk buy their glass or if they went afk and have been gone over and hour... which has happened.

Rarely had to ask to be invited to D2 someone but it does happen from time to time.

People should do it as a courtsey.

We lost four coins sunday due to unannounced AFKs at the end.

I was thinking.. stop pulling/killing somewhere around the 10-3 min mark. At 3 min mark, everyone except pty leads & BLM drop glass....

Provided they aren't dead, subtract a point from anyone who doesn't lot/pass in the last 3 minutes. Let them know it's ok to take a tinkle at any time during the previous 2-3 hrs or directly after, but not during that 3 minutes. The problem would go away rather quickly. I'd make an exception for Sojourn as he has a bladder control condition.

It's hard to substantiate who doesn't pass/lot if they aren't in your alliance.

Party leaders can. In fact if you give the party leader the point that was taken they'd be clamoring to rat their party members out. Then they can look at the picture of Vladimir Lenin on their wall and reminisce over how much it reminds them of the good ol' days.

Don't like that idea cause it gives people who end up being a pt leader a possible slight disadadvatage with points. A couple 2 point run could turn into some 4 point runs.

hard to say, I've seen that last minute AF drop a couple times too. I don't remember losing anything to time before this run though.

Could implement that when people sign up on the forums, which a lot of us do, they have to put their comment there. I think most folks know what they're going after when they sign up.

Adding all the jobs you can lot for is kinda a nuisance for some of us, especially after a dc. Half my jobs are 60+. I'm not sure if they're still up but that ls community thing that SE set up has all people who sign up for the shell's job levels on display. Could mandate folks sign up there, and easy enough to check if there are any doubts. Lot something you shouldn't and get banned, fair enough to me. Perfectly reasonable to take your ball and go home if the other player doesn't play fair. Especially when you have the nicest shiniest ball in town.

Punishments should fit the offense. Points aren't awarded to folks who leave early, shouldn't be awarded for folks afk most of the run either. Missing the last few minutes of a run... idk, I get ticked when folks pass the af then ignore the money and it's lost, but I got up after what I thought was the last pull having passed and missed 3 bills while getting a drink last run I was at. I felt bad about it and gave the two bills I stole to Garret, and I think that's fair. If you wanna bill folks who don't pass 10k a bill or something, I think that's fair too, and it's enough to make folks think.

Edit: As an afterthought, could also add 60+ jobs to the points page, one easy place to look up who's been naughty and who's been nice when rolling lots.

Would an easier solution be to bombard Garret or whoever is running the show the 60 and 70+ jobs that they have so even if the lotter has "DC'd" it won't become an issue?

It then becomes up to whoever is going to the run to inform the people of what their jobs are.

The whole point of setting a comment with ones 60+ jobs is so that there isn't an hour or 2 spent organizing a list of attendees jobs prior to entry. It's bad enough trying to respond to 4 or 5 ppl with questions or chat, nvm having to record 30+ ppls jobs. Everyone needs to take part of the burden, makes things go much smoother. And really, setting a proper comment takes maybe 30 seconds, is that really too much to ask?

Setting a comment has been in for years. There really is no excuse for not setting one.

Trust me, the last thing I, or anyone else organizing, needs is people bombarding them with tells about their 60+ jobs.

As it stands I usually am juggling between 5-10 different sets of tells while organizing parties, in addition to answering anything which comes up in /l. Juggling another 20 tells would really slow down the entrance time.

Chame and a few others have really started pushing people to get comments in before runs. We did have someone who won with just 'AF' in his comment with no jobs listed, but he was on the job so I guess it's not a big deal. Beyond that and the 'free lot' clusterfuck, the lotting and comments were fine last night.

If someone is on the job then it's pretty obvious, the comments are really so that the organizer doesn't get tells like "Do they really have the job levelled?"

As mentioned earlier, if people are told they can't lot a job not in their comment then they are going to be pretty unlikely to forget, since it hurts themselves.

I don't understand why you can't get people to send you in forum PM all this information? Else, on the day of the run if they don't comment, they can't lot for anything other than their job. Is it hard to enforce? Probably. But if they lot on armor that you are unaware of or not commented, then kick him out of the LS for not following the directions.

Its easy being a tyrant in order to make your life a bit easier. So if they send you the 60+ information all is good. And its hard pleasing everyone all the time. The buck has to stop somewhere.

During Dynamis days, its easy enough being in a zone then set yourself /away such that no one can /t you. Then those that tell you in /l you ignore because it obviously isn't the time or place to be NOW listing the jobs when they could easily have done it when they first signed up.

Oh my god, you have no idea. You do realize that the list of people the pop in and out of DX is fast approaching 400 people, don't you?

Not to mention that only 60% of those that come to DX can actually check the forums regularly.

Party leads are responsible for this, sacks have enough to deal with already without adding additional stress.

Seems like to much work and besides the rule has been set your comment since forever. Not like it's hard to do and takes 5 minutes.

It takes 20 secs and takes a party leader maybe 2 mins to check his/her party comments.

Why is it so hard to type jobs in comment? ITs also less work than comming on a forum to pm someone. In all honesty No comment no af is a simpler way of proceeding :)

I don't get why people have such a hard time making comments. It takes me a total of a minute if I actually bother to put effort into it, otherwise it's just Dynamis-Name in auto trans, followed by my points(Line 1 done)
What I'm lotting(Line 2 done)
Jobs and lvls(Line 3 and comment done)

Jeepers that's hard isn't it? Honestly the least you need is jobs and points, if you're lotting money then add money...takes at most a minute to make a comment, why can't ppl do it? Honestly the only hard part is to get some of the non english speaking ppl to understand though they know from their own Dynamis experience. There has not been a shell I've gone with that has not insisted on commenting what you are lotting, it's standard procedure.

Basically I think what we need to end up doing is just not giving out glasses to ppl who refuse to set proper comments. Even those who come with 7 lvl 75's still won't have that much trouble setting a comment.
