Hrm, the new mage abj look decent for rdm and brd, but are pretty meh for the other mage jobs as compared to other available gear. That BP for tanks is pretty hot.
 
Nashira Legs are still better for RDM for the most part. Turban/Shadow Hat are pretty close to even, Turban better for Dynamis and other instances where you getting hit is an issue, Shadow Hat if you're really hard for 35 MP. Shadow Coat definitely better than Nashira Manteel (Nashira is prettier though :p ) Shadow Cuffs are just ridiculous, almost makes me reconsider getting Yigit Gages, trouble is BLU can't use Shadow. Shadow Clogs are amazing too, 5 MND and some Magic Acc on one piece of gear is sweetness.

Psi Sash and Omega Ring are saweeeet. Omega Ring, whenever I get it, will basically replace my Tamas. Hofud looks really interesting for BLU, should be great fun dual wielding that + Demon Slayer while soloing imps. Perdu probably still better in a lot of situations for the ACC, but it could depend on how high the MP drain proc is (I'm assuming not very).

Possibly the best part about the shadow gear is that it combines a lot of my Enfeeb Accuracy and my Enfeeb Potency gear, even some nuke gear, into a couple pieces. I don't imagine they'll be easy to get by any means, but I'll be discovering some inventory spots in the somewhat near future I think :D

Edit: Definitely looks like PUP AF2 to me Tarn, given that the pieces are all 71+ incrementing up to 75. More .dat mining gogo!
 
They might just be putting it in the .dats ready to be added though, because they would have said if the AF2 was being added no? And they added the new Perdu weapons but say new Assault rank is being delayed till next update
 
I'm not sure how I feel about the - % dmg / + % slow armor for Pld.

My initial reaction is it's not that good since anything hard you probably will fight as Pld/Nin and not having shadows up means you take damage in the first place, and 100% damage reduction > 5% damage reduction.

totally agree, I dont like it.

But that store TP/acc belt makes my pants bulge
 
I would get excited over perdu xbow, but no doubt it doesn't add attack, much like the perdu bow.

Not really seeing too much of interest for my main jobs so far, lol. A few things here and there, like that nin/mnk/sam belt.

for /War it would be good, would only screw up flash & cure timers.

My point is more that if you can tank something /War the mob is probably a joke to begin with, you guys wouldn't notice if I went /Blm for Genbu.

In harder fights, i.e. Bahamut 2, Cerberus (significantly more complex than Sky NM's), etc you just end up coming as /Nin because it blows /War out of the water, and if /Nin that +Slow is going to suck, big time.

So I guess my question is who cares if it makes fighting Genbu easier if it doesn't also make fighting bigger prey easier as well?

It adds ranged attack. Of course it doesn't add normal attack, it's a bow >.>
