That's what I thought too, I had no idea leadership for dynamis was decided. It was made very unclear, imo. :( I'd preferrably like to see existing Ultima or DX sacks as sacks for this dynamis.

I like one cycle being a month rather than two weeks. Like Ehon pointed out, sometimes work, RL or whatever, puts you out of comission for a week or more. Vacations, work, finals weeks for students, and more. The instances where a person would be unable to attend for 3+ weeks are fewer and far between.

As for sponsorships, you guys are talking about rotations and such - what about people like me, who do wish to sponsor, but cannot reliably come up with 1 million gil every [whatever number of weeks here]?

I'd like to see people doing Salvage upgrades get the Wootz ores and the sponsor get the 100s, but I'm obviously biased on that last bit. Also about Salvage, it's not so easy for everyone to get to do it - I haven't started a group because Gunman said he was going to about 3-4 months back, so I've been waiting patiently for him to make his post. It seems to not be in the card anymore, though, so Yels - I'm down for Salvage. Hit me up with a PM or something.

Personally, I'm fine with any days of the week for the runs, but I'd like to see start time be a little earlier than DX, maybe just an hour or so. If they're gonna be 8pm, then have people be ready to enter at 8pm, and not 8pm gather time, enter like an hour later.

As for inviting outsiders, Yels had a good idea with the one-person invite. I had this whole idea in my head, but I like that better. It'd keep numbers down and keep assholes to a minimum. Also, obviously, cherrypickers and other troublemakers I agree get a /breaklinkshell. Duh.
 
People already make a big sacrifice for the sponsors of these runs. We don't need to add 100s and wootz ores to the list.
 
In regards to my post; I was simply asked to bring back the SOAP Dynamis section (now renamed LS Dynamis) and setup the user group to add the outside members.

Fodder told me he already assigned Mods to the forum, that being Heie and Yels...

That in my mind meant that:

A) Fodder was rebirthing the Dynamis forum.
B) He assigned Heie and Yels to Moderate it. (there was no wording as to a set "Leader")

I just figured that Heie/Yels were taking care of this event and that was that.
 
Sponsors getting all currency for a run is fine... as much as it pains me to say it.

Wootz ores should be more free rein in my opinion though. Yes, it's nice and helpful for them to go to people that need to upgrade, I agree with that. However, for some of us dynamis with DX was a significant if not primary source of income. I would like to see craft items in their own lotting category. That would help encourage attendance as well I think.
 
In regards to cycles.

If its monthly cycle more often then not (9 out of the 12 months of the year for 08) are 9 dynamis runs in a month. If its set for one month cycle that means most the time you will need to be there 5/9 runs to be able to lot next month. The other 3 months are 8 dynamis runs so 4/8 would keep your lotting rights in the next month. So the amount
of runs you need to attend to have lotting rights fluctuates.

If its set at 2 week cycles you need to make 2/4 runs to be able to lot next cycle. And it would stay that way all time. You could miss a week and still would not lose lotting rights.

Just something to think about.
 
How about 4-weeks even, then, not necessarily going by a calendar month basis?

And crafting materials in their own category is a good idea. :O

So is Heie and Yels suddenly leading this, can we have a vote for new leaders, will Foddboss/Ultima sacks decide or act as leaders, or what's happening to the leadership?
 
What would be simpler would be doing X # of runs deciding the lotting. I'm sure that is what Lexa meant but if 4 weeks is wanted, can just say 8 runs. So you need to have attended 4 out of 8 previous runs. Focusing on runs without regard to calendars or weeks would be ideal imo.
 
Could always use the point system already in place for DX just start it from 0.

I agree about Wootz Ores, there has to be something for the non AF people.

Yes yel and I are leading this. Just like the new way we are doing sacs there is no reason we can't be given a chance. I am sure after a month of runs we could have a vote like the way its happening for def and redd. I just don't understand why people won't even give us a chance. Basically keep saying someone else should lead.
 
For the time being, Heie and Yelsaewnor will be organizing and leading the LS Dynamis effort. Of the times I asked for volunteers in LS chat only they poked their hands up.

What does this mean?

This means they will have their chance to do this. If you want we can take a vote like we are doing with Redd and Def. If it doesn't work out then we'll make whatever changes are necessary to make it work.

This goes for *everyone*. I fully expect everyone involved to be courteous - I realize some people have interpersonal issues but everyone is still expected to act like the adult they are. If someone has a problem, handle it the right way, if they choose not to, that's on them. Regardless of who leads our Dynamis, it is still Ultima Dynamis. Last I checked I lead Ultima. If anyone needs their balls busted for misbehaving it will be handled.

On a serious note, are these going to be clear runs or just farming runs? I know clearing glacier and xarc would be a stretch even with outside help, but what about city runs?
 
E ~ We used to clear cities with SOAP at times, when we had a good set-up & people.
 
The question of clearing is a pretty logical one. For most cities it's time effective to clear because of the time extension you get. For Xarc, if we can it's a good idea obviously, but it's tough without like 30-35 and a really good setup I'd think (considering we have no KC DRK right?). For Glacier and Sandy (IIRC) no reason to clear unless someone needs it?

I imagine clearing cities will often occur as you will often get a TE from it or run out of mobs if you don't.

Glacier - it's pointless to clear unless we have someone who needs. I don't mind clearing for Ultima members as needed, but if we have invitees needing clears there should be at least 3+ before we waste 30min-1hr of farming time on a clear for people we may never see again.

Xarc - would be great to clear, assuming there is interest and enough in attendance. If not just stick to farming AF/currency.
 
Bastock, Windy, and Jeuno should be clear all the time. Mainly cause of the TE from the MB so we can keep farming. Sandy I would say the only reason to kill the MB would be if we ran out of mobs before we got kicked.
 
This will depend on numbers obviously but if we can, I see no reason not to go for clear (excluding Glacier and Sandy).

Having had second best lot on shadow mantle more times than I care to count now I would love to see us get to the point where we can sucessfully clear Xarc and get everyone who wants it shadow gear. I think it is quite possible but it will
take some time to get to that point.

As for cities, I think having enough people for clears shouldn't be a problem if we go through with 1 invitee per Ultima member.
