Koul's signiture (warning dont open if your boss is looking (or kids))

I dunno what Koul posted, I'm not going to even click that link, but if you've ever seen work done by Falcoon or Hyung-Tae Kim that's the kind of thing I'm talking about. They know how to draw and can do it beautifully, but their artwork seems to always go south in more ways than one more often than not. (Not so much for Hyung-Tae Kim since he'll actually stop short of nudity but you can still tell he <3's his breasts)

Hyung-Tae Kim <3ing his breasts and underage camel toes:

Then making something actually pretty:

Does that make any sense? (This is my position on it, dunno about Koul's)

When I'm talking about artwork in this context, I do literally mean just a 2D picture, we're not going to the point of Da Vinci, Reubens, or Renoir.

Yeah... Koul's is more... explicit, to ME, it doesn't really signify art, but to each his own. I will not preach or condemn individual beliefs- its who makes us US.

I see your point Aida, and thanks for the pics and explanation. THose are in fact some really awesome pictures; I like them a lot (not just <3'ing the 'breasts and underage cameltoe')

BTW, wouldn't that be a bit uncomfortable??

Is this considered art?

I'll end it there...your posts amuse me...re-read em both carefully
If you can't see it then reply back and I can point em out ^^d

Koul, there is certainly, in MY mind, some 'art' which I don't think should be called that. Recently I went to the Art Institute museum in Chicago, Illinois with my girlfriend, where we saw a painting: rectangle painted half yellow, half black. I'm sure perhaps its special because the artist is recognizable, or it was a landmark time, etc... And I don't mean to sound critical of you (as it sounds you are taking offense in your post, due to sly remarks in return) I simply asked a question, as I don't see artistic merit in things such as that.

And no, I do not consider regular pornography an artform, either.

Good your opinion is swell...everything could be considered an art form to one person or another even ohmigodzzz porn...I couldn't help but take offense when you said "No offense to your personal taste or style, or this... form of design... but how exactly is that considered "artwork" and not just a drawing in altered taste?

Or is artwork used as a general term to mean "something that was possibly made in art class"?

Honestly, no sarcasm, no offense... I just don't find it very... artistic."

I felt your warning of "no offense" to be fake due to the over-use of "..." marks and if you didn't mean such offense why word your post like you did saying "how exactly is that considered artwork and not just a drawing in altered taste" perhaps if you meant no offense make it more of your own opinion and not something so forceful and just that...offensive

Then I was perplexed at your other remark

"Yeah...

BTW, wouldn't that be a bit uncomfortable??"

The "..." marks again take a part in that post and you stress how YOU don't think it is but in your previous post you questioned, actually you didn't even question it...you named it to be either "artwork" or "drawing in altered taste"
I do think that what I posted is art...like you said "to each his own" or whateva, sexual acts with any type of perference can be art and "exciting" it just depends on the way you view it...i also was unaware that "Art" had a set of rules that makes it either art....or something else...that's what you imply with your post....im aware their are rules inbetween art but not what makes something an Art...so please if you have any information as to what makes something an Art post it please~

and you kinda came off as a pig with saying that stuff about my pic (i know its more racey then what aida posted but just FYI) then saying with aida's

"I see your point Aida, and thanks for the pics and explanation. THose are in fact some really awesome pictures; I like them a lot (not just <3'ing the 'breasts and underage cameltoe')

BTW, wouldn't that be a bit uncomfortable??"
Specially the part about the <3'ing of the breasts and underage cameltoe...or were you just being sarcastic and goofy? I mention this cause it just says to me that if I posted 2 chicks screwing or something that would spark your interest or something or any chick or something I dono...that's the message I get...should I not have gotten this message?

Now the reason that I find it to be art is the way the artist does the shading and the faces are just elegant (The artist just doesn't do fuck pictures) honestly I just like how he made the skin look so damn smooth and gentle, the artist did a good job with his characters eyes you can tell their personalities just by looking at them (if you missed it...the artist just doesnt do fuck pics he does make i guess "serious" parts for the game these characters are in)

all in all i'd say what im trying to say is regardless if you dont find it to be art someone else might and it's rude the way you came off like that...I think everyone should also try to notice the beauty in everything i'd think doing that would influence a new aspect of the world and a good trait for being a good art critic...for the huge variety of art

I could've posted something more lewd but I'm not giving you guys free hentai and I don't want that sort of thing in my cache. A more racier example I could've used is a picture someone did of a nude mithra that's actually pretty good but again, I will not provide you with such blatant free fapping material. O,< (Now in the case of yaoi, it's usually more cuddly, it's just considered more offensive since most guys vehemently hate that sort of thing)

Cuddly

It's safe Aida

The artist has a banquet full of cute pics like that...she's really good...I like how she made the One Piece characters look more....real...not as plasticy like in the anime XD Her Website mainly if not all of the pics are just "awww cute" type pics

Usually it's the dude artists that make all the screwing yaoi pics and junk

Koul-

I said no offense, I meant it. If you choose to read between the lines, infer how I am thinking, and derive emotions from text, you choose to walk the line between truth and your own fiction. Thikn of it how you will.

I have that picture actually Koul :D I like fluffy pictures like that. Also kudos to that artist not falling into the usual pitfall of making everyone from One Piece look like Gumby posables and the women Gumby Posables with grapefruits stuck to the front of their chests.
