Not sure why you think the Mnk one sucks...

Higher base damage than Destroyers, not much more delay and occasionally attacks twice... depending on the proc rate of the double attack that is ridiculously powerful. If the ws is good as well...
 
By the way, the text on Tachi: Rana indicates that it IS a 3-fold attack, as the animation indicated. Wow. Time to sell Hagun? Hard to say yet but it may go down quite a bit!

keep in mind the 'occasionally attacks twice' is based off of aftermath. what if the new ws sucks ass compared to penta thrust, asuran fists, guillotine or whatever?
 
Unless the duration for aftermath is horrible I don't see how that would be so big a deal.
 
I depends on whether the difference in weaponskill damage is made up for by the increase in attack proc etc.

It may be. It may not be. I'm just saying that the aftermath effects are the last thing I would consider as a selling point on the weapons until we know for sure.
 
By the way, if I ever get Laevateinn, and I intend to focus fully on that goal, I swear to god I will melee HNMs. Hehehehe. This is gonna be fun.

I don't think everyone's selling haguns just yet since tachi: Rana's accuracy is based on tp

Actually I think it says damage based on TP... and the other thing to remember is that fTP only counts on the first hit of each WS (hence why damage is so low if you miss the first hit of a YGK but land a double attack hit). So Hagun will only enhance damage for one hit of the three. It's very possible that another weapon with higher base D or something might jump to the top, although I still think Hagun will be a good weapon.

I'm not saying they're worse than Destroyers or whatever, but doesn't really seem worth the trouble, unless you just gotta have them - just as with Spharai.

Yea, I was really on the fence with SAM or BLM weapon til I saw "Enhances Third Eye". Not that I think the SAM weapon is bad, what with aftermath and all, but for a year of my effort I'll look for something with a bit more oomph :).

Have to say, I'm a little disappointed in the SMN weapon. Only thing it's got going for it is the Perp-4. Avatar Magic attack? How often you Thunder/Aero/Etc IV with an avatar? And since damage basically is dependent on avatar TP, who wants to leave it out that long to build? And who wants a SMN to melee? The Acc+30 is just silly. I don't have trouble hitting on smn as it is. How about Attack+30 as we have the offensive ability of a wet noodle? The only way this would ever be used is solo keeping your avatar out for cheaper and meleeing something for aftermath. But otherwise not really worth the effort.

Now, the DNC weapon on the other hand has always been /droooooool. Gogo dancer yay!
