Before I begin I would like to extend a massive congratulations to the members of FISH, for winning the Europe & Oceania Crystalline Conflict Regional Championship and demonstrating the enourmous talent that our humble Datacenter is home to.
Season 20 has finished and for most PVP players on Materia this means another top 100 participation award.
5 commendation crystals to all the players who reached the lofty heights of Silver!
You might feel unsatisfied leaving your ranked climb at Silver and to prove the title isn't hyperbole I want you to imagine yourself as a short-sighted individual who has just wished upon a monkey's paw to win every Ranked match of Crystalline Conflict you ever participate in. This should by all rights be more effective than the most blatant of hacks you could imagine. The perfect substitute for both luck and skill, right? On any Datacenter you play you'll find yourself catapulted to the number one spot on the leader board. Materia included. But what's the highest tier you'll achieve? Ultima, surely?
On Materia you would have finished Season 20 in PLATINUM.
I can say without fear of contradiction that there has not been a single Platinum-Diamond match on Materia throughout all of Season 20. The ONLY way to reach Crystal under these conditions is to have 9 other players reach Platinum and then coordinate win streaks to push you through Diamond all the while ensuring that no participant ever loses too many matches in a row, which would push them down into Purgatory (Platinum 4 with 0 stars) making them unable to continue playing with the group as a result.
I have no idea how many participants you'd need to get a player to Ultima on Materia.
