Why do some people get upset that the game leans into it's own lore? [Spoiler: 7.5]

With Dawntrail ending, and Evercold on the horizon, it's the time again for story speculation. And with these speculations come some reoccurring themes. But sometimes these discussions in the community cause an odd discourse, even though they are things the community has asked for. Some examples I can give are.

● The return of the Ascians. Why is this such an odd thing. The entire lore of the game revolves around them. Almost every event in the game is because of them; possibly barring the Dragonsong War. So why is it "odd" to learn, surprise, it was Ascians. It's not like they just appeared, they've been in the game since the beginning. And people have stated they wanna know what is happening with them.

● Visiting other shards. Since learning about the shards, back in Heavensward, and learning they house life, people have wondered what that life is like. We got an answer in the Shadowbringers expansion, and that was well received. But us visiting The Void was met with trepidation. We semi dealt with The Ninth, and are now going to The Fourth. And while there is excitement, some feel that the devs are just rehashing Shadowbringers. But how else are they supposed to expose us to a new shard, if not in an expansion?

● Overuse of the Scions. Love them or hate them the Scions are basically the main cast of FFXIV. So it makes sense to use the main cast of the entry. Probably the usage of them was marred by the lead up to Dawntrail claiming some would oppose us, but using them in the MSQ just makes sense. They are the main characters.

These story beats are normal, and make sense for the narrative FFXIV is. It just depends on how they get integrated into the story that determines if it's good or bad. The mark of good story telling is usually when the audience can figure out what will happen next. Just like the latest development of a natural rejoining. Players guessed it at the end of Endwalker, and now it's been proven true.

This might seem like a bit of rambling, and it is, but I'm just curious why some people get upset by the devs leaning into the lore. Especially, when it's things the players kinda want too. Plus I posted here because it'll probably be less toxic than the official forum.
