Returning player here. Unfortunate life stuff happened, and I (essentially) haven't played much since Endwalker released. Now that my life is good again, and a new expansion is around the corner, it feels like everything is lining up for me to finally enjoy this game again! After so long away, I decided to fantasia and name change into a new race I've never played as, and replay the story from the beginning as a brand new character (as it were). So what I'm debating is what job to go through the story as.
I remember Reaper had a line from an npc in Garlemald during Endwalker that asked how/where WoL learned to be a Reaper, to which WoL replied with the "shh" animation. And then there was Zero in the Void story pointing out that WoL's pact with our Voidsent was one of mutual benefit and respect. Even though it was all of two short lines, I remember it still made me so happy that the main story had pointed out what my character did. Especially since I've always struggled to create a backstory for my character as being from anywhere, because the game "can't" canonize a background for them. So those lines helped me feel like my character was just that bit more part of the world.
So I'd really like to know of examples like that, as it will influence my decision on what to play through the story as. I guess bonus points if there's anything that feels especially fitting as my new female Hrothgar character (which by the way, are just so cool!).
