With the game currently being unable to logged in to at the moment, I casted my mind to a few animes like Sword Art Online and Log Horizon, where players are "trapped" in the game with nobody being able to get in from the real world. Obviously this isn't completely comparable since players logged in right now can still log out of course (and is only affecting PC players), but it just got me thinking.
If someday you woke up in the FFXIV world/universe as your WoL, what would you do? Let's assume that you can still revive upon being KO'd like normal, but would there be any consequences? Would the sensation of it be too much? Your senses would be carried over, after all.
Would you just carry on with your daily playstyle? Chill with friends? RP? I wonder how many would still be content just to stand around all day in Limsa...
For me personally... Currently while we wait for Evercold, I'd probably become somewhat of a bookworm. I'd probably spend my days reading whatever lore I could find around the world, maybe even do some sightseeing of places I've been to in game.
That's not even getting into the can of worms of how combat would work... Would it all be first-person? Would raiding be that much more difficult having to physically move your body around to positions?
Just thought this would be some food for thought while we wait for the game to be accessible again for PC players (myself included ofc).
