I recently came back to FFXIV after many hiatuses, determined to complete current MSQ content in preparation for Evercold. I just wrapped up Shadowbringers and its post-MSQ patch quests, along with all the side raids and trials (now I see why people say this expansion was peak!). As I head into Endwalker, I realize I have never played this game in a way where I’m left with “end-game content” while I wait for the next release. There has always been some new MSQ or job quest for me to follow, but what’s this game like when all that is said and done? For those who completed Dawntrail and its patches, what exactly keeps you coming back? What do you work towards?
