We need New Mentor Requirements or New Mentor Crowns

Mentors sometimes have a bad reputation because of the Mentor Mount, and other rewards to a lesser extent, causing selfish goals: i.e. there are fake Mentors. Due to the age of this game, becoming a Mentor over time has become easier than it should be and the pool is much larger. There are too many Mentors with too wide a range of motives and attitudes under the same icon. This means that when a sprout has a bad experience with a player with a crown, they might group all Mentors as one bad group. There needs to be more restrictions or more easily visible differentiation between Mentors.

New Requirement
The Mentor Roulette should be opened up to everyone and be converted into a Random Roulette. If you've cleared most content, like the current requirements, you should have access to the Random Roulette and be able to work on obtaining the Mentor Mount: WITHOUT A CROWN ABOVE YOUR HEAD. Obtaining the Mentor Mount (2000 Random Roulette clears) would become the new requirement to obtain the crown and become a Mentor.

Everyone who decides to become a Mentor would no longer have a major ulterior motive. Sure some players would still display the crown out of ego/status but it would still cut back on the number of fake Mentors or Mentors with bad attitudes: they would just be ordinary players with bad attitudes because they would not have a crown icon above their heads. Having the Random Roulette be more readily available to more players including those who do not want to be Mentors would help fill in needed slots.

New Crowns
If you are unable or unwilling to change the Mentor Roulette into a Random Roulette or to increase the Mentor threshold in some other way, perhaps in the meantime it would be best to create different grades of Mentors. Using the current system it should be easy to change the Mentor Crowns of Mentors who have already obtained the Mounts to a Purple Crown.

Mentors who have the Purple Crown would show their experience. It would signify that they have been around for longer. Think of it like the Yellow Crown being a Sprout Mentor and the Purple Crown being an Elder Mentor.

While I do not think that different crowns will instantly solve any of the social attitudes about Mentors overnight, I think that having visibility for different grades of Mentors to roughly differentiate between Mentors' motives and experience would be an interesting social experiment. Would it stop the lumping of all Mentors together because of one bad apple (Mentor or non-Mentor with jaded expectations)? Or would players have a bad experience with a Mentor check to see if they have a Yellow Crown or a Purple Crown? I would like to think that maybe over time it turns out that Purple Crowns are shown to be more positive and chill Mentors who are there because they want to be. Maybe players will find Purple Crown Mentors to be more approachable.

P.S. To my fellow Mentors: I know sometimes Mentors are not the common denominators. It is best to ignore this factor.
