 | While I understand that it says they're rather fibrous, the idea that the Mamool Ja were effectively starving and throwing out edible food is... Confounding. I discussed this with some friends and we came up with several points for and against this idea, although I'll only list a few: Celery, for example, is perfectly edible, but takes more calories to burn than it gives. Sugar cane, for another example, is extremely fibrous and edible but one must process it. With that said, I still just... cannot believe that there was an edible food being thrown out. If it took processing, then process it? Feed your starving society?
