I wanted to post here because surely this is a dev oversight? I can't imagine a modern game actually releasing an item that visually removes a fem character's pants, preventing them from covering their legs if they choose? Especially after fanfest just spent two days touting the importance of player choice?
I feel like I shouldn't have to point out the obvious issues with this item targeting fem players in a way that forces them to be exposed and unable to cover.
Yes we can choose another item but this should not exist in the first place. Period. Having 'full body' items that take the pant slot away can work, but not when they're replaced with nothing.
Squenix vowed years ago to stop with the gendered gear nonsense. Their team has had plenty of time to make those adjustments. It was disrespectful to gender gear, and the devs continuing to do so is disrespectful to the players.
(Edit to add) PS. And I support masc players also having the choice to wear pants with this item or not. It's a weird turn-around to force them into plain black pants instead of letting them choose literally anything else.
