People are more mad about old bad rewards being in new easy content than the fact that rewards like the glowy alo alo weapons were garbage on release and still are now. Yeah im sorry the prestige was lost for the X% of the community that bothered with criterion savage but for how masochistically difficult that was you deserved way more cool stuff and you should be mad that this hasn't improved years later.
Look at how little changes in your game experience for criterion savage rewards, you get no armor, or accessories with stats on them, no cool ability glamour for your job that a modder can make for free (can't even choose to keep wide volley animation in high levels), no you only get a mount that nobody in an instance will see and maybe a weapon that people already have but with a little sparkle on it. Nobody notices weapons in actual combat if they have effects on.
Yeah devaluing old content and personal achievement sucks but the compared to a lot of other video games the reward VS effort ratio for high end content for this game feels pretty bad. I think the most fun form of high end content ever released was delubrum reginae savage because it was so unlike anything we normally do in a dungeon or raid and bozja was the closest thing we had to job customization since cross class skills were a thing
