 | Whilst digging through some old screenshots, I found one that was taken at the launch of 1.0 and decided to recreate it with my current character. Took me a while to figure out where in Limsa it was taken (right by the zone to Middle La Noscea), but you can notice some big differences between 1.0 and now, namely the UI (or lack there of) and that big building/island structure right behind my character. You can also see how dull and washed out 1.0 looks compared to now, but that's probably because the game ran like crap on my PC (and probably a whole lot of other people) and the settings were set to low. I still struggled trying to hit double digit FPS and the performance was the main reason why I quit after a month or two. Note that my current character isn't the same as the 1.0 character. When ARR hit, I had no idea what server she was on because the original server I played on had merged with another server, so my friends and I decided to hop on a new one. I ended up finding my original 1.0 Lalafell sitting on Balmung huddled in a corner shaking and muttering to herself after making the mistake of walking through the Quicksand. submitted by /u/djseifer [link] [comments] |
