I would like to say for a moment that there was a Light and Dark Crystal in some of the cutscenes over the years.
Hydaelyn was believed to be The Crystal, because we spoke where The Crystal was, but this doesn't correlate to being the same.
Hydaelyn showed her form to us, she showed us how to walk in the Light of the Crystal, but that doesn't mean The Crystal was her. She spoke of it independently.
So perhaps The Crystal is its own story line. Did The Crystal give us life? Is it older than the Ancients? What more can we devise from how it was referred to in all of our cutscenes?
Hydaelyn might have channeled The Crystal's power, but The Crystal did not die with Hydaelyn.
