I have nothing against teleport costs being higher the further you are away, it makes sense and is realistic, as far as teleportation can be anyway. But Dawntrail really is overdoing it, and it feels like the teleport is just meant to drain us of Gil / Tickets. HOW on earth is it cheaper to teleport from the 9th, meaning the Living Memory area, to Limsa, Gridania, Ul'dah, Ishgard than to any aetherite in Heritage Found? HOW is Limsa Lominsa, the place you USE to reach Tulliyolal cheaper to reach from Living Memory, than Tulliyolal itself?!
Hell, even porting to the 1st is cheaper. Porting to the Rak'tika from Living Memory costs 1288 Gil. Porting from Living Memory to Heritage Found costs 1302 Gil. The entrance to Living Memory is in Yak T'el, so on the very same continent as Heritage Found. This does not make sense.
Obviously, none of this is a bigger deal, I'm not seriously ripping my hair out about it, but I AM wondering about the logic of it all, honestly.

I know that it is meant as a gil sink. I definitely didn’t make that clear enough, I see that, I come across much more whiny than intended. I wanted this to be a funny moment of „haha, wonder how the geography of the areas explain that away.“ This is not meant as a serious discussion post, maybe it’s honestly the wrong flair, too. It ultimate doesn’t matter, it’s an ingame currency many of us, including myself, have more than enough of.
