I think if you're combing this for new information, there's not much outside of a stronger idea of what life in Treno is actually like, and just how horrifying the Doomtrain actually was for them.
...this is also maybe the single saddest short story we've ever gotten.Not just for how dour it all is, but how routine it is. The loss of Lumull and Eyaney's parents didn't even get the honor of being an exceptional day; it's just one in a million.
