So I’m not saying this to be mean in any way but as someone who plays healer often I’ve noticed that a lot of newer tanks aren’t using their mitigations or are using them only on bosses or if they’re near death, I know the game does a bad job of really telling you when and where to use them (I’ve also played tank for a few years so I get it) but after having multiple tanks who only used their mitigations on dungeon bosses and not pulls (and not using role actions like rampart at all), those tools are primarily to help you when you’re taking alot of damage from multiple enemies and really help at the beginning of a pull. It also helps the healers not try to stretch what little resources they have in the early game. So please use your mitigation tools, also please do hall of the novice I know it’s not necessary the perfect guide on tanking but it does help get an idea of it (though I do also suggest looking up general tanking guides because again the game doesn’t really tell you where and when to use the mitigation tools it gives you).
