Based on what we've seen in 7.56, I think its fair to assume that the Job reveal at JP Fanfest will be Falconer, or something akin to that, but something that I've not seen come up in discussions and speculation is how it may tie-in to the game lore-wise. However, with a few other very unexpected callbacks in 7.56, I think we can make a good guess towards the Job's possible background, as well as a little bit of speculation about a new character.
The other unexpected callbacks I mentioned were the multitude of references to Heavensward, and more specifically, to Ysayle. Not only was she namedropped (and the WoL had a peculiar vision of her, or someone who looks just like her, while crossing the golden path to the Fourth), but we also got an entry in the Unending Codex for her.
This is odd.
Why would we get an entry for Ysayle? For context, here's just a few other arguably more significant characters who don't yet have entries: Lyse, Papalymo, Nanamo, Elidibus, Venat, and even Ardbert. Unless... Ysayle, specifically, is going to be important beyond just a callback, which brings me to my next point. In Ysayle's Unending Codex entry, there is a part that says: ...The power of the Echo stirred within her, and she was afforded a vision of the Dragonsong War's inception—a vision later confirmed as truth during an encounter with Midgardsormr. Before, she had cared for little save the hunt and her birds of prey...
Next, lets have a look at the Sightseeing Log entry for Falcon's Nest, in the Coerthas Western Highlands:
Falcon's Nest was buried in snow and ice in the Seventh Umbral Calamity. It also happens to be Ysayle's hometown.
But why is this of interest? What about this is relevant?
Well, the only reason I noticed this in the first place was because of the vision where we saw Ysayle's face. It was enough to rope Estinien and Alphinaud into being transported along with us, presumably by their connection to the WoL's memories of Ysayle. But that's not all. G'raha speculated that the way that Ethos works is by allowing us to travel to whoever we picture in our mind's eye, even if we don't know where exactly they are. So we do as he suggests, think of Halmarut and Calyx, and Ethos activates, bridging us to the Fourth... except, we don't arrive at Halmarut and Calyx at all. Instead, we end up on a lone piece of floating earth in an endless sky, Alphinaud and Estinien in our wake, and the only clue as to why is a vision of a long-dead woman.
Ethos, I believe, rerouted us when we had this vision. But, Ysayle died; we cannot be transported to her. So Ethos did the next best thing. If we cannot go to Ysayle, then perhaps a soul of a similar hue? Perhaps a young girl with a falcon familiar who too has spent her days in a land ravaged by relentless ice?
