Many people have already been criticizing the lack of variety in quest/instance types with DT but there were a couple that really stood out to me as missed opportunities for interactive/minigame content:
I'm sure the engine of this game has its limits compared to other standalone FF games, but it's not like these kinds of varied contents are unprecedented. I found it such a shame that these recurring FF trope scenes didn't get their chance to shine. Couldn't they have had a simple point and click shootout for the train/cannon scene or even just a timed button mash for the mock fight? It would have really added a nice variety...
What other scenes did you feel were missed opportunities? Did I miss any other notable recurring tropes that could have been more fleshed out?
On the other side of things, what content in DTs MSQ did you particularly enjoy or find a nice change of pace?

- the train fight scene lv 96ish MSQ: Off the top of my head, I can remember scenes in FF6, 7, 8, 15 that involve fighting in/on/with a train. The whole cutscene when we were operating the cannons on top of the train on the way to Vanguard, I was yelling to myself "Let me operate the cannon!!!"
- the mock fight scene in Alexandria with the WoL and Wuk Lamat: Again, off the top of my head I remember interactive stage scenes in FF6, FF7, FF9 (which the whole second half of DT heavily homages!)...how much fun would it have been for the mock fight to be an active time maneuver type activity or even selecting your own moves/lines during that scene?
