(Sorry I need to yell about this because any time I bring this game up with people in real life they all roll their eyes and ignore me but I need to talk about this I'm going insane) I stayed up almost all night finishing Endwalker last night, because once I got to Ultima Thule I was locked in and had to see it through to the end. WOW. I really thought Shadowbringers couldn't topped, but this expansion completely blew me away. Those last few hours of the story I think I spent about 85% of the time just crying (except locking in (kind of) for the final dungeon + trial) this story just hit me so hard. I swear almost every cutscene had me bursting into tears. I won't get into my personal life right now, but I'll say the themes of this story, and Meteion's character in particular and how she develops over the course of the story, just hit me really hard. The theme of not giving into nihilism and realizing that your life and the concept of life itself has value even if it's painful or fleeting, it's still worth living and trying to create a better life for yourself and for others, I really needed to hear that right now. I truly cannot believe how good this was, I feel so sorry for people who haven't played this (and the people in my life who think it's just silly/lame) because they are missing out so hard. Anyway that's all I just needed to scream about this!!
