I took a long break from FF14 of about 2+ years (last time I only played for about 1-3 months). When I came back, I started a new character, and later returned to my old one.
Since I got back, about 2 weeks ago, I only played DoW for probably around 2-3 hours at most before needing to stop.
Meanwhile, yesterday I started playing DoH + DoL for the first time, doing all their jobs and trying to minimize the travel costs between the three big cities. It's weirdly fun to manage, and it really satisfies me when all my units have high-quality equipment, potions, and food. Before I knew it, I had somehow played DoH + DoL from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The funniest part was yesterday when I was fishing on the map for it quest, and a FATE boss suddenly popped up. The music changed to that intense boss theme, and at first, I didn't think much of it.
But then my younger brother walked into my room and asked why fishing in this game had such intense music. I just started laughing.
