 | In short: that's my only screenshot from 2013 and I just want to share my past and thoughts abt this game because I miss it. So yeah nothing special to see here xD Its my only screenshot of FFXIV I have bec I proudly posted it on Facebook back then November 2013 when after weeks of wiping on Twintania we cleared it. I remember how proud I was and how much fun I have had. I was a single dad of a 4yr old back then and I am still a single dad (42) but obviously today I have more time because she is older. But to be honest I played extensively back than too, especially on Twintania prog. At some point tho I stopped because there was just nothing to do for quite a while... I had most job maxed, same for most DOHs. Beside my only screenshot I in fact also have one old-school video on my dusty yt channel when I soloed a Dungeon Boss before they changed Warrior sometime after, I don't even know what the dungeon is called anymore. For anyone curious: And no I don't ask for views, I don't do anything with my channel, it's just an old collection of mostly wow videos. I did get back to FFXIV years later and played until the end of Shadowbringer, casually tho. Which was a great time with memorable moments too. I was sad tho bec I saw how they extended the coil of bahamut, so very much have liked to continue to prog that. Even savage. Also I did like the Omega Raid but could only do it scaled down so it was just groups breezing through. All of that tho is once again years ago. Recently I listened to a lot of hype OSTs. From just Uldah music, to Ultima and Penitus, to Alexander, Azys Lla and interdimensional rift and shinryu worms tail to name a few. Happened bec I did order the 5LP vinyl too. It gives me back so many good memories. I am very excited to get back in soon, after me and my daughter travel to Japan for the first time. Fun fact, we stay there while Fanfest is happening and I was sad to understand we have no way to attend but ok we don't understand Japanese anyway, but It would have been a great coincidence. I know today is a different timeline. People are different, the game is different, community behavior is different . So I won't get the exact same feeling I got when the game was fresh and people didn't stream and min max everything before its even released (at least in other games it's like that), being toxic and yeah all that stuff. But I am still curious how many people play today, if Uldah is still busy or empty, how is the story, how is just the whole FFXIV vibe. I miss it. I wanna get back in. Probably (semi) casual again. The dawntrail perception before did hold me back a bit but then again I don't care, I remember the game being great and I'll take ups and downs. I just wanna be a part of it again.
