Obviously, we've seen that Evercold is VERY Norse-themed, but we also have these giant ships flying around filled with people. You know what we have in the source with us? A giant flying ship called Ragnarok that was designed to carry a large number of people.
What if we bring Ragnarok in more ways than one?
I believe the Trailer takes place at different points in time.
The future: We see an old lady Miqo'te telling the story of what happened. Might be the miqo'te revealed in the extended teaser.
The past: It's the part where we see things happening in fields and cities with the WoL and Co.
Though to the WoL and the party, it's both the present.
We've had trailers take place in a different time before. The biggest example being Shadowbringers taking place years before the WoL makes it to the first. So I'm thinking we show up, do our thing, either mess up or come up with an idea that has us bring over the Ragnarok (ship), but because of the time dilation, we show up many years in the future.
Remember, the time on each shard is pretty much in flux. Thinking back on Shadowbringers, we're told that the first's time is also not in sync with the source; however, the dilation has shifted close enough that it doesn't matter much at the moment.
So my thoughts are: what if we leave the 4th to help, but then time shifts, showing us the results of our actions years into the future?
Obviously, we don't have much to go on because the full trailer isn't out and we still have to wait for the final msq chain. But wanted to get my thoughts out there and see what others have been thinking.
