I am not new to Final Fantasy games. But I am new to FFXIV. I have only just finished beating Ramuh (with my warrior).
I started with an Archer -> Bard. And I loved leveling them to 60. However, I over leveled because of the EXP bonuses right now. So I switched to a couple different classes to try them. I have done dungeons with the Marauder -> Warrior, and the Conjurer -> White Mage.
Once, with my warrior, I had trouble with not being able to activate Defiance until I died and had to respawn. With the recent fight with Ramuh, I accidentally deactivated it in the middle of the fight, and someone had to tell me to reactivate it.
I have played a lot of MMOs over the years. And when someone makes a mistake, or there is a problem, so many times I have seen people get bullied by others in their teams. And I have been warned that it can happen in this game. Which I get. But I wanted to say that I have yet to meet someone like that.
Everyone I have met so far have not only been forgiving of mistakes I might have made on any of the classes I played, but have also given me advice to help with dungeons. I am loving this game, and the community in the game as well.
Also, when others want to chat with me, and they realize I am on a free to play account (only because finances won't allow for me to pay a sub), I have not been treated harshly for not being on a premium account. I am still treated with respect.
I thank everyone here, and in the game for all the help and patience with me in the game.
