 | It’s my birthday today, and I’ve officially played for a little over a year, now. The final fantasy franchise means the world to me, and I had always wanted to play XIV but life circumstances made it a pipe dream. Since then? Met so many amazing other players, and not only built some of the most important friendships I have now, but has brought me even closer to some IRL friends and my beloved partner. Hell, last year, my partner and I worked together with one of our each savvy besties to put together my partner’s cosplays of their WoL and ShB Y’shtola, from 3D printing the weapons to last minute scrambling to the nearby Michael’s to print the archon tattoos out on expensive temporary tattoo paper, and then our FC leader visited and spent a weekend to hang out with us at the yearly convention my partner and I attend. To experience an IRL FC meetup and have a Full Party IRL…absolutely a magical weekend to remember. (And we’re doing it again this year!!) this game has truly changed my life in ways I can’t express properly. So as I turn 30 today, I figured I’d finally share some of the artwork I’ve done this past year as gifts within our FC, including some tattoo designs, one of which is super special because it was a collaborative design between me, my partner, and our beloved bestie, with my partner giving me the elements they wanted, me putting together the concept mock-up, and then our bff finalised the design and inked it. The other tattoo is for all you proud GNB and VPR mains! My buddy and fellow bday twin commissioned me, and I’m just proud of how well it turned out (my current dream goal is getting that tattoo apprenticeship!) I can’t wait to see what memories will be made this year, in-game and out!!
