Rule Change - New Point Tier

A few people had brought this up to me last night & it seemed like a pretty reasonable request so I am going to implement it.

Currently items go from 0 points for 60+ jobs straight to free lot.

There is going to be a new tier between this, 0 points for lvl. 1+ jobs.

This is so if people are intent on levelling a new job and would like to 'spend' 0 points on the AF2 and not be able to win another piece of AF2 that run then they can do so without having to lot against the entire run, some of whom may just plan to throw the piece out or are lotting it just for fun.

Since free lot typically means the AF2 is one step above trash in the eyes of most people there I don't really think people will care if there is less junk to free lot on once in a while.
 
When it goes to free lot, people who have no intention of ever using the AF lot it also because it doesn't penalize them in the sense that they can still lot again later.

I think this is so people can say "ok, I accept the penalty. I won't be able to lot again later, but I really do want this particular AF even though I'm only level 1 in the job."
 
Right, this basically will keep people, who will just end up tossing said AF, from lotting in the first place.
 
Good idea. I don't see it getting implemented much, but when it does, it will be a good thing.

Does this actually happen that often? If people are really lotting stuff just to /toss it that is pretty immature.

Honestly I don't see the point of complicating the rules for this. Realistically, if you're leveling a low-AF2-demand job, you're going to have plenty of chances to lot it when you're 60+ anyway.

But hey, if there's really demand for this and Garret doesn't mind calling an extra tier for all the drk that drops in xarc, then whatever :D

Yes.

I can count over 10 times since i've been in DX people gloat about how they have AF that they have for lvl 0/1 jobs. Just last night 2 people did in my alliance. It happens.
 
Free lot is really there for items people don't care about at all, if someone wants to free lot & then /toss I couldn't care less.

But because of that I feel there are occasionally times when people care enough to actually 'lot' for a very low level job, if they want to then fine, just takes a few moments.
 
I got a WAR head piece -1 once, even tho I'll probably never upgrade it lol. (WAR is 43) From what I hear the headpiece is shit, but nobody else lotted on it. So yeah it happens. :)
 
An observation the 1+ 0 thing can come off as confusing.

May want to make it 'Any level - 0 points' or something like that.
 
Even after it was clarified there were people in ls and in alliance that seemed confused. I'm just saying that changing the wording a bit could make it easier to get across.
 
The confused people were the ones not listening. Simple as that. Someone asked. "one point" we replied "no" . Someone asked "freelot?" we replied "no level 1+ 0points" If that still leaves confusion i dont know what will fix it tbh

No, it's not as simple as that.

It's a question of making things look regular so it's easy to understand at a glance. The "1+ 0" is confusing because we're used to using "0 60+" as a tier. There's no reason to make the tier after "0 60+" be "1+ 0", switching around the points and level requirement. "0 1+" makes much more sense in this context.
 
I can understand the confusion, but honestly, when an AF2 is one step away from free lot,does it really matter that much?
 
It might matter to someone if they're planning on using the AF2 when leveling the current job~
