Hello! I have a bit of an odd thing to request here.
Since the game's release, the official description of Lalafell has described them as having a "Childlike Countenance". While this is accurate, I'm sad to say that this particular line of text tends to be pointed at ad nauseum in the English community to essentially bully and shame Lalafell players who want to be taken at least a little bit seriously. "See?", they say, "The Devs say you're a child, so I dont want to hang out with you."
My request is simply, after all these 10 years of FFXIV 2.0+, to consider changing this to no longer contain the word "Childlike", even if the actual meaning is not changed. Something like "Youthful", "Cheerful", "Energetic", etc.
I cannot begin to tell you how much this single line of text has caused distress, being used to deny Lalafell players from Social Circles and Free Companies, both in and out of game. I hope that such a small, single-word change could send ripples that helps fix a chunk of borderline discrimination that Lala players face when talking with players of other races.
