You will need to be level 15 to start the event. The quest starts with The Symphony of Life, up at the Aftcastle in Upper Limsa Lominsa (11, 13). There are no FATEs, no event dungeons, and no currency to grind. It took me around 30 minutes without skipping any dialogue - it's bit of running around Limsa and La Noscea, but I'm sure you could get through it all much quicker if you skipped. The minion and achievement are a reward from the first quest. There is one follow-up quest, Prelude's Call, which comes from the Wandering Minstrel in the same spot in the plaza where you finish the first quest. It takes less than 5 minutes, and will give 3 orchestrions (Modulation versions of Matoya's Cave, Eternal Wind, Zanarkand) as a reward. There are 3 interior housing decor items, and fireworks from previous years, on the 1.0 Minfilia Rising Vendor in the plaza (again, Upper Limsa 11, 13) - these are available even without completing the event quests. And again, the anniversary sale on the Mogstation (FFXIV Online Store) will be ending tonight at midnight PDT (3am EDT), earlier than the event ends. Enjoy!
