I've been leveling WAR and basically all the guides say that first rule of the job is don't overcap your beast gauge. At Lv70+ with Inner Release, this seems pretty straightforward. But from Lv54-69, never overcapping your beast gauge means you're often unable to triple Fell Cleave under Berserk.
I ran the numbers and even with low crit damage (145%), the effective potency gain from getting a third Fell Cleave under Berserk instead of a Storm's Path (254) is roughly equivalent to the potency gain of a Fell Cleave over the 123 combo (260). So every minute, you can go into Berserk with 100 beast gauge and one Infuriate, and it's a damage gain as long as you don't overcap by a whopping fifty points to do it.
Similarly, from Lv35-49, it's a damage gain to overcap going into Berserk to get two Inner Beasts instead of Inner Beast, Maim, Storm's Path.
Is this typically ignored because it's not worth building up a different muscle memory for low-level duties? Or am I misunderstanding something?
