I know it's a bit of a pipe dream but I wanted to toss the idea out into the void. What do you think of proximity voice chat?
I, personally, think it might allow for a new way to interact with other players, to build out the social elements in a lateral move. Yes, I'm aware that people may take advantage of the feature and yes, there is always the possibility of abusing the feature by unscrupulous individuals.
If implemented, it should be opt-in optional. The mute feature for individuals already exists for text chat so it could be extrapolated to voice as well.
As someone who enjoys raiding, it could be beneficial in trimming down the number of random discord or third-party voice chat groups that are sometimes required for coordination.
