| I started playing FFxiv back in 2020, I honestly cleared Praetorium a few days before my dad's passing. It may seem silly and childish to say this, but during my depression over my father's death getting back to FFxiv saved me. My memories of the Praetorium and my want to continue the Hildibrand questline kept me going. That said after playing cape Westwind recently it became apparent that some things were changed. I won't say I outright hated the new Praetorium but there were many thing I didn't like. I preferred the camaraderie of having 8 people, I preferred the fights being connected and not split separately(gaius into ultima weapon), I didn't care much about the new cutscenes they added or the segment of weakening the eikon. I understand wanting to make Lahabrea feel more special, but I preferred jumping him with the homies. I did like how some segments felt a little quicker, us going super saiyan was hilarious, and the heroes welcome back home was a nice touch. All in all, the new Praetorium was Meh. On a brighter note, I'm replaying my favorite questline! submitted by /u/TheGamingJoke [link] [comments] |
