If anything appears to be missing from this please let me know & I will update it accordingly.

- 1 point will be awarded to members for every complete run they attend. If a member needs to leave early & has notified the organizer beforehand they will still earn a point.

Note: Members attending SOAP, Ultima's currency farming LS, will also receive 1 point.

Note: Members will be awarded 1 bonus point on any successful Beaucedine Clear, Attestation Run, Xarcabard Clear or Animated Weapon Run.

Note: An excel file will be made to keep track of points, and posted, so people are aware of point totals.

- All major drops will be assigned a point value. Anyone with enough points may lot, the points will be deducted from the winner. You may only win 1 item in a single run & you may only lot AF2 which you are able to equip. A comment listing all jobs over level 60 will be required. The point costs are as follows.

Synthesis Materials: Free lot
100 Currencies: 2 points
City AF2: 4 points
AF2-1: 4 points
Glacier AF2: 8 points
Capes/Belts: 8 points
Xarcabard AF2: 16 points
Shadow Items: 20 points

If nobody has enough points, or will not spend them, the point cost will be reduced in increments. The increments are as follows.

20 > 16 > 12 > 8 > 4 > 2 > 0

Members with a job 60+ may lot when the point cost is 2. 0 point items will be free lot.

Note: During the 1st month members may only lot on 60+ jobs if no 70+ are lotting due to low point totals for all those attending.

Note: Members winning AF2 in SOAP will have their DX points reduced according to what the AF2 would have cost in DX, their point totals may go into negatives as a result.

- All City, Glacier & Xarcabard runs will be sponsored. The sponsor will pay for the hourglass & will keep all single currency obtained during the run. They may still lot AF2 & accumulate points.

- An Attestation farming run will be scheduled, upon request, for any member nearing completion of that upgrade level. This member must provide x5 Icarus Wings & x12 Poison Potions for use to spawn the Attestation NM's. Any member receiving an Attestation will not receive a bonus point for the run, their point totals will be unaffected otherwise.

- An Animated Weapon run will be scheduled, upon request, for any member working on their final relic weapon stage. This member must provide Icarus Wings & Poison Potions, depending on the weapon attempted, for the entire alliance. Any member receiving a Fragment will not receive bonus points for the run, their point totals will be unaffected otherwise.

Wooo. Can't wait. Let me know if you want help with the excel spreadsheet. Did I show you the one I did for farming?

I could use some help with a spreadsheet actually. I want it to be kept pretty simple so it is easy to read, i.e. 1 column for points, another for names. Otherwise I worry it will get to be difficult to keep track of easily.

Aang has offered to host the file for me so that it can be displayed here but I am not very familar with web hosting or how to format excel so it can be viewed properly in html or whatever in a post.

Yea, sounds do-able. I'm busy at work this week though, so maybe won't have a chance to play with it until this weekend.

Oh lord... Kalia gets his hands on it.... you are likely to se formulas only seen by the likes of Einstein. :)

Edit: Sassafras, please edit Garret's post to make easier to read. ;)

as far as /seacoms go, will we still have to specify af or $$?

I am leaning towards no Aelfinn, since this system is designed to reward participation I think it fair that people can spend their points on AF2 as it drops but keeping in mind they can still only win 1 piece per run.

I don't think they will need to seperate out money either because if people want AF2 for a certain area they will be unlikely to try & win money since if they do they couldn't win their AF2 if it dropped later.

sounds logical, just seemed like a question likely to be raised on sundays run. Figured best to ask ahead of time.

The first few runs will be weird because nobody will have enough points to lot anything really so everything will end up costing 0 points.

Not really. In essence the first few runs will be like our normal rules, except people won't need to make lot comments for a specific job. Other than they'd still be required to be able to wear AF2 so it only would be a little mayhem.

Hi guys

I signed up a long time ago, but havnt been able to work on dynamis cause of scheduling reasons. So I just pop in every once in a while, guess I picked a good day. Points system sounds good, but what I think Aelfinn might be asking about is could play out like, "Damn a 100 dropped, and theres some pretty crappy lots and we almost done with no AF drops for me, I think I'll go for it." Pretty much either to each his own decision, or make em stick with what then say at the start. If you have multipe jobs at 75, and can pick on the fly what you want, then what was the point of /seacom to begin with?

Well the reason for not requiring a lot comment was that people can still only win one piece, and some people will want a particular piece, and either way they have to spend points to get it. It seems too restrictive to require one lot comment when they are already being given points to spend.

Why do you go into negative for going with soap. For helping Ultima LS.

This is SO RIDICULOUS.

Tieing points to SOAP is an incentive to help increase participation in soap.

Not deducting points at all in soap makes it unfair for people who attend DX but not Soap.

Not allowing points to go negative means we have to use poinst to control who can lot what in soap.

Therefore, solution = points are added/deducted in soap, but no enforcement happens. I guess I don't understand how this can be interpreted as anything other than a move to help people who go to Dynamis often get more AF. You can come to soap, get points, then use those points in DynamisX.

Would you prefer that points are not associated with soap at all? If you ever go to DynamisX at all, you probably wont' like this idea, since it means you can no longer receive points when you attend soap runs. Why even bother going to soap anymore if it isn't going to help you win Northlands AF, or Shadow Mantle? On the other hand, if you don't go to DynamisX at all, then the negative points will never affect you anwyay.

I'd prefer if could just rack up points in soap and not have them deducted at all when I won AF, but others would kind of be screwed if we allowed that.

Eh. From your post it seems like your confused on the difference between deduction and negative numbers.

I never said that points should never be deducted from winning AF in SOAP.

I think Stel and Lost mean something like:

First runs of DX and SOAP, both shell do city Dynamis. If an AF drops, people in DX will still stay at 0 point (because the AFs will lose of their value since no one has enough point yet), while a SOAP person will have - 4 points. Or I think that's it?

Also, I don't see why you deleted the seacom requirement... Once your point system will be on for a few weeks, people will just lot everything that drops "because they have the points", especially when a 100 note is only 2 points. Before you knew how many people was loting against you, now you'll know everyone with this job high enough, will be able to lot against you on your AF, and against people loting 100 note.

No. I'm saying that why does anything I do in SOAP reflect my standing in DynamisX? I'm going to SOAP to help people get relic weapons. AF2 is an added bonus. If I ever decide to go back to DX, I am automatically in negative points. That's ridiculous. Points need to never go into a negative, and there needs to be some sort of cap. This totally puts people at a disadvantage from so many angles.
