Just wanted to make a space for the incoming players to ask questions and get specifics for Switch 2 controller layouts. Some specific questions that come up when making a character.
Take your time with Character creation. With job switching being a main mechanism in the game, you wont need to make alternative characters for you to play. And if you do change your mind there are "Bottles of Fantasia" that allow you to change. They do cost real money so be aware of that.
Data Centers depend on the region, and if you are playing with friends make sure you match what server you are on. If a server has a "New or Preferred world bonus" it is a pretty decent exp boost.
Once you can join a Free Company (FC) which are essentially guilds they can offer exp too. Food of any kind is an extra 3% boost too. Boiled eggs are cheap and can be bought by an NPC.
