NA Needs Cross–Data Center Duty & Party Finder

Dynamis was created to relieve congestion. In practice, this results in a relatively moderate sized pool of new players, but a relatively small pool of experienced players compared to older DCs. That creates a feedback loop that hurts everyone who actually tries to play there.

  • Duty Finder queues are brutal, especially off-peak or for anything outside roulettes
  • Party Finder is often empty, even for normal raids, extremes, or casual farm content
  • New players log in, can’t get groups, and either DC travel away or quit
  • Veterans don’t list PFs because “no one is around,” as they have travelled to another DC, which makes the problem worse

Meanwhile, Aether is perpetually congested. DC travel there is frequently locked or delayed, and even when it’s open, it’s clearly not sustainable to funnel all organized content into one DC forever.

At this point, the solution feels obvious.

We need cross–data center Duty Finder/Party Finder.

This would:

  • Let Dynamis players actually participate in content without abandoning their home DC
  • Reduce pressure on Aether instead of concentrating it further
  • Help new players stick around instead of feeling like they rolled on a “dead server”
  • Preserve community identity without punishing low-pop DCs

I don’t think anyone rolled on Dynamis expecting it to be instant queues—but the current state actively discourages people from staying. Without cross-DC DF/PF, Dynamis is stuck in a population trap it can’t climb out of on its own.
