My journey as a healer so far.

I've picked up healing a few weeks back and am at the point where I consider myself a not completely brain dead rodent hopping around on the keyboard. Sometimes. Anyways, I have been trying specifically to master "rescue" because it seems like it could really pull a bad situation out of the fire so to speak.

It all started when I was doing Labyrinth of the Ancients, specifically the Ecliptic Meteor attack from King Behemoth, and the ultimate greed bait known as Ancient Flare from Phlegethon. Time and time again I would watch someone get utterly annihilated by those two mechanics. Every time, I yell at my monitor trying to save them. Trying to get them to see the danger coming. And every time... I failed. Death after death after death.

Then I remember "Rescue." "This is it, this is the solution." I told myself. Oh how I was so naive... Again and again I would notice too late or be too far away to get the rescue off. Plenty of times I would try to grab someone in a different alliance only to realize it doesn't work on them. Misclicks, late reactions, and just plain bad positioning were my curses. Time and again they would die due to my inability to save them. Even had a few times where I got the rescue off but they died as they were being pulled... I thought my dreams of successfully using it were hopeless. So I stopped trying. I couldn't live with the disappointment any longer.

But then it happened. Earlier today. It was the last boss of Labyrinth, it was Phlegethon, and they were casting Ancient Flare. I am in safety already, on the marker for Alliance A. I see my sprout monk party member too far away, knowing they would never make it in time. So I locked in. I clicked their character in record time. SMASH the button for rescue, and FINALLY... finally successfully pulled someone to safety. I finally managed it. A tear sprung to my eye. Then they hit me with "I was fine, I would have made it. Why did you ruin my rotation?"

And that is my journey as a healer so far :D
