 | It was January 2022. No responsibilities, just the holidays. I still remember getting my own room in our FC house for the first time. It felt amazing, and I immediately wanted to make it my own. So I went down the YouTube rabbit hole and probably consumed terabytes of information about FFXIV housing. That’s when I discovered glitches. And to this day, I still remember the absolute horror of having to pick up and reposition the same piece of furniture a hundred times, only for everything to go wrong and force me to start all over again. It took an absolutely ridiculous amount of time. I basically disappeared from real life for three weeks. Nobody could reach me. I was eating and sleeping with videos playing in the background, watching other people’s housing tours, looking for inspiration, and absorbing every last bit of information I could find on the subject. And yet, whenever I look back on FFXIV with nostalgia, I still picture my character sitting by the fireplace in that room, with peaceful music playing in the background. Maybe it’s just nostalgia talking, but those memories genuinely warm my heart. I’d love to see what you’ve all created! What’s housing like these days? Are all the old glitches still a thing, or has the system changed enough that we’d have to learn everything from scratch again?
