Me and my brother have been playing this game and having a blast! We are huge FF fans all our lives and I have no idea how we are first getting into this game now. So we are playing the game from the standpoint of being FF fans more than being MMORPG fans.
We really like the story and all the references to the older games. We have played other mmo games and one thing I never liked is when you get to an expansion released long ago, the games tend to jump over the endgame content from the previous version. Like in WoW when TBC released and you went there at level 58, skipping all the old lvl 60 content.
We looked into raiding and there is one called the Binding coil of Bahamut that we are very excited for as we love Bahamut he is an OG. And then I read about one called the World of Darkness and that one really made us excited since The World of Darkness theme from FF3 is both of ours favorite FF song of all time and we loved that dungeon in the original game.
Are we going to be able to do these ? I have tried google and I just get conflicting answers, some say it is part of the MSQ some say it is skippable content and no one does it, so I am confused. I really really want to do them for the story and seeing the places, I would mostly just want to do them as soon as we finish these last quests, we are fighting the imperials now and getting ready to destroy the Ultima Weapon, and I am worried if the game will whisk us away into the next expansion.
Am I worrying over nothing? Will the game take us to these places, or do we need to be proactive in seeking them out?
