Sorry if there's already something similar suggested,
Adding an "offer/bid" option to the market board similar to Runescape's Grand Exchange system to allow for more efficiency when it comes to selling/buying.
When you sell: The MB can take the highest current buy offer already made by a player, if it's higher than your price it gives you the extra Gil (the highest amount a player has offered regardless of your price), or when there isn't an offer it doesn't sell until there is.
When you buy: The MB takes the lowest sell offer already on the MB and returns the excess Gil back to the (buying) player. If there's no offer that matches your price then your offer will not buy instantly until there is.
If there's an item on MB that meets the criteria of the seller/buyer, then the item can be automatically sold and either placed in a person's inventory or sent to their mail box.
I feel as though this would benefit both seller players and buyer players all round and will stop the hassle of "under cutting" as you will get what you are specifically willing to sell/buy for and can remain anonymous.
