Every expansion trailer tends to put one (or sometimes two) jobs in the spotlight, with the WoL taking on that role.
Looking at that distribution, we’ve had:
3 Tanks
4 Melee DPS
1 Ranged DPS
0 Magical DPS
0 Healers
For the 8.0 trailer, it really should highlight either a caster or a healer (or both), since they've never had the spotlight on them. And since healing has never been represented as the WoL’s role in a trailer, I think it should be the next one to finally have it.
I know everyone likes seeing their favorite role featured, and as a main healer, I’ve been waiting a long time to see a Scholar or White Mage get a truly badass moment in a trailer.
Yes, some Scions have filled healing roles—like Urianger or Alphinaud—but it’s not quite the same as seeing the Warrior of Light embody that role.
It would be great if the devs leaves the tanks and melee DPS for this expansion and let the other roles finally shine...
