Does the game ever mention anything, lore wise, on why we need crystals to craft stuff? From my understanding, we use the aether they contain to instantly craft complex things. Kind of like when the Ascians taught the minor societies around Etheirys to use crystals to summon their primals.
So, with that being said... is us crafting stuff actually pretty similar to when the ancients used their creation magiks to manifest clothes, objects and even living beings, only we need to tap into the aether of crystals since we are fragmented and our aether is thinner?
I think what I'm getting at is:
Is the WoL going through a process similar to primal summoning every time they make breakfast?
