I've been playing FFXIV for 13 years and this time is the first time I do really like to leave a message in the forum to show how disappointed (and disgusting) about the beastmaster content.
Same as blue mage, beastmaster is a limited job, which means you are not able to use it like normal jobs, or queue up dungeons without premade party. I could understand why blue mage are restricted for low level dungeons, because there has too many spells overpowered and could clear most dungeons in a short period of time.
But for beastmaster, I don't have much feeling that this job is overpowered compare to blue mage. Pet skills such as Tempered Release or Borrow could use repeatedly by using pet action Away and summon outside combat, but it still takes plenty of time to finish a group of mobs. For comparison, blue mage has spells that could almost instantly finish any mobs, which I believe, beastmaster should not be treated like blue mage, even though both of them are limited jobs. When I played beastmaster, I do have more fun in dungeon. Either with friends or random people from the party finder, and the joy for using beastmaster in dungeon is much much more compare to blue mage or Crucible. And if this is fun, why don't just allow beastmaster to queue all ARR dungeons normally without a premade party? There has plenty of groups on party finder are looking other beastmaster to capture chimera/zu of other best, and allowing them to queue normally would actually helps a lot for them, so they don't need to keep spending time waiting others to come.
For Crucible, forcing people to do it at level 30 is not a good idea. I finished the first board at level 50 with behemoth and chimera on my list, which it do really helps me to clear it without too much trouble. And I basically using the same team to clear the rest.
I will say the starting point of the learning curve for Crucible is a little bit higher than what I expected. It do not have enough tooltips and players really need to use their own experiences to figure out whats happening in Crucible, or which items can do what, or which gear could save you from the final boss, etc. If I do not have enough experience for this game's mechanics, I am pretty sure I will stuck at board one for a much longer period of time, and I might even give up the job quest, because I can't even able to understand whats happening there, and just see my health dropping to zero. Having so much unforgivable mechanics at level 30/40 is totally no make sense. This would only discourage people to do the Crucible.
