I'm a new sprout, just reached level 80 ^^ I have a few Trials that I didn't finish before and decided to use the duty finder to queue for them, they happen to be Extreme trials from Stormblood.
a few days ago to my surprise after queueing for a while I finally got a group for Minstrel's Ballad: Shinryu's Domain. Literally the second we entered the instance, a mentor with burger king logo said in chat "what's up with sprouts queueing for extremes lately". I didn't say anything, nobody did actually, and we started the encounter. 15 minutes later we of course didn't clear it and the party was disbanded. All good, nothing weird, happens to all mmos.
After I finished the loading screen and went back to the city I was in before the encounter, the same dude said the exact same thing in the Novice Network that I'm in >.< he said that he "wasted" 15 mins with sprouts and what not. People replied laughing and one of them said "sb extremes, right?".
I honestly dind't reply back but I was a bit repelled and took a few days off the game.
Now I didn't know that extremes are not meant to be done in the duty finder according to this unwritten rule (why are they in duty finder if they require preparing a premade group?).
I decided to try what the wiki said (creating a group in the party finder) and choosing it to be unsynced, I absolutely didn't like it, I literally saw the boss for 2 seconds before it died xD
Just wanted to share this story with you, not mad or anything, idk if I'm going to be downvoted to hell D:
All I want to say is that I know we sprouts are nubs
