According to the latest live letter, all job sets, and 7.x dungeon sets will soon be compatible with the armoire. They also said that other dungeon gear could be added to the armoire in the future, and would become compatible for outfit glamours. The thing about outfit glamours that confuses me is why you would need this feature if a set can already be stored in the armoire.
Before outfit glamours were added, I'd hear about players choosing to keep certain pieces in the glamour dresser instead of the armoire, because the dresser could save any dyes that added to those pieces. It meant if you regugaly used sonething like the Far Eastern Lady Errant boots in the same colour, you wouldn't need to dye it again every time you used it in a glam. But now, when you store pieces as an outfit, any dyes you've applied get removed anyway. So for me, glamour outfits seem to be functionally identical to storing sets in the armoire, you're just using a slot in the dresser instead.
I'm curious to know if anyone actively chooses to use outfits over the armoire for anything that's compatible with both features. If so, why do they prefer the outfit system? Is there a benefit to it that I'm just not seeing?
