Hello! I have become a super big fan of Final Fantasy over the past year. I’ve played through a large chunk of the mainline games already, and I am thinking of trying out FFXIV. My partner is really into the worlds of Final Fantasy (loves watching all the cutscenes and being involved in the story) and had a good time playing the one game she did play which was FF6. We just finished playing Baldur’s Gate together, and I am wondering if FFXIV is a good game for us to get into next. Our gaming setups are right next to each other and we liked getting to play a whole story game together with Baldur’s Gate.
I have been hearing a lot of mixed info in terms of how much of this game is solo vs played together. We are not really interested in side stuff, and want to mainly play through the story. Would we be able to experience this game together with a synced up story experience, or is this not the right game for us to play together? Am I better off just playing solo and showing her the cool cutscenes? Thank you!
