Arguably off-topic, but since I plan to use the device with FFXIV:
For a while I've been using various keypad-joystick combinations to play FFXIV, like the Razer Tartarus and the HORI Tactical Commander. I quite like having the joystick for movement, particularly the HORI's analog joystick, as it makes it much easier for me to move and execute actions simultaneously without tying my fingers into knots. I also love the fact that the HORI doesn't require me to keep a driver running to use the device, only to change the keymappings.
However, the devices aren't all that robust, and they don't hold up well to the fairly heavy use I put them through; I'm about to have to replace my second HORI.
Does anyone have recommendations for a similar device? I should say up front that using a controller or an MMO mouse is not really an option for me, as I have tendonitis and/or RSI in my right thumb, and using either type of device exacerbates that quite badly.
A quick web search turned up Azeron, but those are a bit pricey. They look really nice, especially the Hall-effect joystick, but I'd want to hear some pretty good testimonials before spending that much, particularly concerning their longevity and reliability. Of their products, I think I'm more inclined to want the Keyzen than the Cyborg or the Cyro, but I'm open to being persuaded otherwise.
Other suggestions are welcome!
