I see a lot of people claim that this is the most "anti-social MMO" and I couldn't disagree less. Most people I see claim this never try to actually talk to anyone, but expect others to come to them, or be "invited" to the party just for existing.
Most people think that you can't get in on the social side unless you RP, but I disagree with that entirely. Literally just talk to people.
People won't talk unless you take the first step. The thing about most MMO players is they are introverted af, lmao.
Gush about their gear, emote at them until they emote back, trade them a rock or something.
I find it so easy to talk and make friends in FFXIV just from doing that. That kinda goes for every MMO though, but it is definitely loads easier in Final Fantasy.
