So I've been a final fantasy fan for as long as I can remember. Starting from Kingdom Hearts when i was a kid and stretching to all the shut down mobile games they release, I've played a ton of them and for a long time a ton of my friends have talked about how amazing ff14 is and I see it hyped on Twitter each update over the years, ive even watched like 10 hours of lore videos about old and new ff14 and it is a game I REALLY want to play and experience but I work a job where I go out of town for up to 3 weeks at a time, every day(no days off during the trip) I wake up at 6am and get back from work at 7, I have to call the wife and kids and talk about my day with them then I have about 2-3 hours a day to game before I gotta get back to sleep.
Ive heard the beginning of the game is really slow to get through but as you pass each expansion it gets better Is basically what I've heard and that gets me excited! But I've also heard that this is hundreds and hundreds of hours of time to get there
With so many games and other things coming out, is it reasonable to try and dive in even though I can only get 2 hours a day? Will this be a multi year catch up journey and it's just not in my cards? I miss playing mmos but I feel like it's not enough time anymore to do raids and get into the community and stuff like that either
Any stories, advice, tips, anything helps a ton
