For context . I was pretty heavily downvoted earlier for my post asking something about suggestions/advice on what to aim for in end game content now that I had reached it.
I did get lots of helpful advice so I super appreciate those who helped me.
I was assured at first that that is sort of normal sometimes on Reddit but then someone else told me candidly that the obvious reason I was downvoted was actually the way I talked. They told me that that I’m immature because of the way I was speaking. I think the way I spoke was cringe worthy or immature how it came across so that’s pretty bad and I do see that now.
Not my intention but the result was bad, my bad.
Highlighted to me that I might personally touch upon something people really don’t like. I genuinely will work on it more.
So a question is, what other places can I go to ask wee questions or just chat casually. Or even just lurk until I build up confidence. But just to be clear, final fantasy related chatting only though is my preference.
Are there unofficial Discords that are well established casual and friendly I could join in?
Or other final fantasy r/ that have a good reputation of being friendly even if I’m a bit quiet.
I know I don’t fit in and it’s not the end of the world but I can’t help but feel awfully anxious after my post earlier asking stuff, I should have thought about how I spoke more first.
I’m worried this post will lgo the same way but I just wanted to be pointed in the right direction. Some alternatives.
I do also follow various YouTube channels wikis and guides for information but sometimes it’s nice to ask a ffxiv veteran something too directly.
It’s also my understanding that there are link chats or something in ffxiv, but I’m not entirely sure what that is.
Also I am sorry about posting this and posting on here earlier, I’m not good at this admittedly, I’m anxious and I just want to know where I can go next. I usually post on fallout reddits so not used to it here.
